Information we process
Octobo processes your account identifier, name, and email through Firebase Authentication. Your learning preferences, selected packs, streaks, quiz history, and word progress are stored through SwiftData on your device and Firebase Firestore for syncing and restoration.
Octobo may also process notification preferences stored on your device, support messages you submit, pseudonymous app-instance identifiers, app events, device and operating-system details, and crash diagnostics through Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics.
How we use information
We use this information to sign you in, sync and restore learning progress, schedule reminders you choose, improve reliability, respond to support requests, and understand aggregate feature usage.
Service providers and sharing
We use Google Firebase as a service provider for authentication, cloud storage, analytics, and crash diagnostics. Octobo does not sell personal information, display third-party advertising, or use your data for cross-app tracking.
Your choices
You can disable reminders in Settings, submit word-correction and support requests, and permanently delete your account and associated learning data from Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account.
Data retention and deletion
Account and learning data is retained while your account exists. Support and correction requests may be retained as needed to resolve the request, prevent abuse, and document corrections. Deleting your account removes your cloud learning data, Firebase Authentication account, local progress, and pending study reminders. Account deletion requires a network connection and cannot be undone.
Children
Octobo is not directed to children under 13. Do not create an account if local law requires parental consent and you do not have it.
Changes and questions
Material updates will be reflected on this page and in the app. For a privacy question or deletion issue, email ea.colak0@gmail.com or visit Octobo Support.
